Stop talks, think twice....

On may 13th,2008 they started from jaipur. Bomb blast in nine different places within 15 minutes,63 died and more than 200 people injured.then on july 25th,2008 bomb blast in bangalore.3 died and 20 injured. The next day itself another blast in 21 places within 70 minutes in Ahamedabad.56 died ,more than 200 injured. The next target was the capital. that was also successfully did by them.on september 13th,2008 blast in five different places within 30 minutes. 30 died and more than 100 injured. They were not satisfied with the blast in capital. So a second blast on september 27th 2008 in mehroli in south delhi and 4 died in the attack. Then modasa ,malegaoh…… and atlast on november 26 ,2008 in mumbai.195 died and 300 injured. I don’t know what’s the job of intelligence department,RAW and other concerned departments. No other departments are getting this much benefits. Atlast when around 400 people died , govt decided to react. The provocative talks now,smells a war. A war will harm not only two countries but the whole world. Pakistan is a nation with nuclear weapons. We cant even think of the damage the nuclear weapons can create. So our politicians better avoid provocation. This does not mean that no action should be taken against terrorism.we should think a better way. For shooting a wooden piece Abhinav bindra got more than 3 crore as prize money,whereasA T S chief Hemant karkare who shot the terrorist and died for the country got only less than 50 lakhs.Thats how in every ways , we are different. So we don’t expect much from our politicians.

nothing in it...............

100’s of people behind eachother with one aim and one thought;
Yea, i am in front of the kerala state beverages corporation.the story is about a co-incidence that happened few days before. As part of the 13th international film festival of kerala i was watching films in various theatres in the city for last few days.on the third day of the film festival, around 2.30pm I went to kripa theatre to watch the film “kanchivaram” ,directed by priyadarshan.When i reached there i was a little surprised, the “queue” there was like a goods train. With a tensed mind i also joined the “Q”. Around 3.00pm the train started moving.while I was waiting in the large “Q “ for getting into the theatre, a stranger squeesed into the “Q”. The man who was standing behind me questioned him and they started quarelling eachother.this created a great fuss over there. Somehow I managed to get a seat and could watch the film comfortably. Among the films i saw in the film festival “kanchivaram “was a good one.after the film i came out of the theatre and we went to tea shop nearby. On the way I got second surprise of the day,I saw the same stranger who squeesed into the “Q” standing in another “Q”, but now the “Q” is infront of Bevco.He was standing in the” Q “ calm and quitely. I thought for a while and with a silent smile i started walking because “he also did in the same way what others including me usually do”.

"Dont worry about those who came by boats;worry about those who came by votes".

‘Forgiving terrorists is left to God, but fixing their appointment with God is our responsibility’-Indian Army. This is the most read and spread SMS during the national security guard’s fight with terrorists in Mumbai. The message not only passes through mobile phones but also through Orkut, Face book, gmail, Yahoo!, etc. And after the NSG’s attack a group of youth in Bangalore created and circulated an SMS which describes “All 100 crore Indians should stand on the roads peacefully on Tuesday December 2nd from 12 noon to 12.30 pm with a message to force the government to fight terrorism with a firm hand and tell all parties to stop politics over terrorism.” These are some of the examples of the new generation media’s resistance against things that harms national integrity and security. Off course the new generation youth were also very much concerned and responds eventually against this situation. The country wide support from TV, FM radios, internet and mobile service providers helps them to mark their voice against this terrorism. Our youth are not only work with chatting, browsing and having Yo Yo.. The attack in Mumbai brings out one thing that our youth are vigilant. They are aware about fighting against terrorism rather than wait for political parties to take action. They were also saluting the bravery of martyrs. In Orkut after the brave death of ATS head Hemand Karkare, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, and others the number of profiles created to salute them are uncountable. They express their gratitude towards them for saving the country by giving their on lives and also support to their family members. The SMSs against terrorism shows that our youth is in right way. We can take a breath of relief because they will not go behind terrorists for safeguarding their vested interests. They know it is time to protest against all the bloody things happening in the country in the name of religion, politics, community, language etc. At the time of encounter with terrorists in Mumbai the FM stations all over India have done an appraisable effort. Not only were they giving the songs which evoke proud and love towards nation but also supporting messages for the Mumbai people. After each song they give priority to such kind of messages rather than commercials. In fact for some days they forgot the profit making mindset. In another eye we can say it was an effort to increase their listeners. But doing such things even to raise the listeners is but for encouraging the nation. Whatever their mentality it should be appraisable. For example Big FM collects the opinion and other messages from all over India and sends that to Mumbai station. Thus provide Mumbai people a mind of relief that the nation is with us. Entire country expresses their support through the air, through the signals. With every ten minute gap Big FM, Radio Mirchi and all the other number one stations including the local stations spread new and heartening messages for the country and for the security guards. ‘We will face these challenges with unity and without fear. We salute India.’ This message beat up inside all Indians heart at the encounter time. Unlike the news channels which makes all the events ‘live’ and thus have got an order from the NSG not to give live visuals as it is helpful for the terrorists to know the outside situations, the resistance by another group consisting mobile, internet, Radio achieve their goal. Really they salute India.

ban and after that.............

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has implemented the ban on smoking at public places in India from October 2onwards. The ministry issued the notification for the ban under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution), Act 2003. At first glance, it’s very clear that the law will make the smokers incapable of smoking anywhere they like. But the question is whether this law will prove more effective as compared to the previous law or not? Central Health minister Anbumani Ramadoss had said that according to the GSR 417(E) declaration of May 30, 2008, the new law, which was implimented from October 2, 2008, is a renewal of the old one. That means the old was not much effective in controlling ‘public smokers’. Then what will be the end result of the new one .
Central Health minister had said that,” In the last ten months in England around 45,000 people have quit smoking and he expects something like this to happen in India soon”. But the population of smokers and social situation exist in India is quite different as compared to England. So there should be a strict enforcement of the new law. Cigarettes contribute 85 per cent to the total excise revenues collected from the tobacco industry, amounting to Rs 8,500 crores. So the question is whether Ramdas is ready to cut these profits, given more than twice that the amount is spent by the citizens of India to cure the diseases caused by tobacco every year. There is no dearth of laws in India. Most of the laws are helpful, but fail due to slack implementation. Let’s hope that the new law, which came to effect from Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary,will prove effective for the better health of the nation . A special squad to find law breakers is necessary. Otherwise, the law would be like the closed circuit cameras placed in Delhi at the time of serial blasts.
